Solar Eclipse and the Theory of General Relativity

As most of you know, there will be a solar eclipse on the 8th of April between 2pm and 4pm, however, did you know that eclipses proved the scientific theory of general relativity?

The photographs taken during the eclipse in 1916 showed that the light from stars near the Sun did indeed bend, just as Einstein had predicted. This bending of starlight provided direct confirmation of General Relativity and marked a turning point in scientific history.

Einstein's theory of General Relativity revolutionized our understanding of gravity, space, and time. It laid the foundation for modern cosmology, including our understanding of black holes, the expansion of the universe, and gravitational waves.

Here are two videos in which the explanations of this theory and the solar eclipse prove to be quite interesting.
