It's Time for Back to School!

Which means a new year for school supplies, here's our list for elementary school necessities

Essential School Supplies

  1. Backpack

    • A sturdy, comfortable backpack with enough room for books and supplies.

  2. Pencil Case

    • To keep pencils, erasers, and other small items organized.

  3. Pencils

    • #2 pencils are commonly required.

  4. Erasers

    • Both pencil-top and large standalone erasers.

  5. Crayons/Coloured Pencils/Markers

    • A basic set of each for art projects and assignments.

  6. Glue Sticks

    • For arts and crafts, and general sticking needs.

  7. Scissors

    • Child-safe scissors for cutting paper and other materials.

  8. Notebook

    • A few notebooks (wide-ruled or college-ruled, depending on the age) for writing and notes.

  9. Folders

    • At least a couple of folders to keep papers organized (one for homework, one for classwork).

  10. Loose-Leaf Paper

    • For use in binders or for extra writing space.

    • A 1- or 2-inch binder with dividers can help keep everything organized.

  12. Ruler

    • A basic ruler for measuring and drawing straight lines.

  13. Lunchbox or Bag

    • To carry lunch and snacks.

  14. Water Bottle

    • Reusable and spill-proof to keep hydrated throughout the day.

  15. Hand Sanitizer/Tissues

    • For personal hygiene and keeping clean.

  16. Calculators

    • If teachers permit

    • Dollar Stores (like Dollarama): Good for basics like crayons, pencils, and notebooks at lower prices.

    • Educational Supply Stores: They offer quality supplies geared towards students and teachers.

  4. Local Stores:

    • Local Bookstores: Some have school supplies in addition to books.

    • Pharmacies (like Shoppers or I.D.A): Often carry basic supplies and sometimes special items like hand sanitizer.
